What this committee does

Spirit makes things. Anything the program creates, crafts, sources as a custom item, or decorates with belongs here: event decor, apparel and uniforms, senior keepsakes, and the physical branding around the field.

The test is simple. Is it a physical thing the program has to have made, sourced, or set up? Then it is Spirit's.

What it delivers

  • Spirit Packs in incoming freshmen's hands at camp check-in
  • Uniforms fitted, ordered, and distributed to the right players
  • Senior gifts and stoles ready for Senior Day and the banquet
  • Events that look like someone cared

Ways to help

There is more than one size of yes here. Pick the one that fits the time you have.

Making and crafting

Build the things: keepsakes, decor, signage. A good fit if you like working with your hands and want something to show for a Saturday.

Event decorating

Set up and decorate on the day of an event. Show up, make the room look right, enjoy the night.

The day of an event
Sizing and distribution day

Help fit players and hand out gear. Straightforward, hands-on, and it has a hard deadline.

One or two days a year
Vendor coordination

Work with apparel vendors on quotes, artwork, and delivery dates. Useful experience if you have done procurement anywhere else.

  • Creative, decorative, and hand-made items the program needs
  • Decorating program events: the banquet, Senior Day, the alumni game, and the kickoff meeting
  • Keeping an inventory of the program's reusable decorations
  • Working with apparel and uniform vendors on design, timelines, and quality
  • Uniform sizing, distribution, and tracking who received what
  • Spirit Packs for incoming freshmen at summer camp
  • Telling parents what to order, when, and where, for practice gear and anything the coach requires
  • Senior gifts, senior stoles, and Senior Day flowers
  • Framed prints and team plaques made from Picture Day photography
  • Field branding: windscreens, championship banners, and hanging sponsor banners

When the work happens: Camp in the summer, events through the year, heaviest in the spring
