Honors
Every Viking named to an All League, All CIF, All State, or All District team, every Foothill League Player of the Year, and every Major League draft selection the program has recorded. 94 players across 6 categories.
Keston Hiura is the program's only first-round pick, taken 1st (9th overall) by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2017.
These records run through 2023. The program has not published honors since then, so seasons after 2023 are missing here rather than empty. For what the current team has earned on the field, see the player achievements, which are computed from live game data.
The categories
Vikings selected in the Major League Baseball draft, with the club that took them and the round.
Players named to the CIF Southern Section first or second team.
First and second team All Foothill League selections, year by year.
The league's top player, and in some years its top pitcher.
Vikings recognized among the best players in California.
The five-state region covering California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah.
Hall of Fame
The Preston Bolder Memorial, on the wall by the home-side bleachers. 11 inductees since 2006.
Honored across three or more categories
Where this came from
These honors were published on the program's previous website and existed nowhere else. They were archived into the booster records in August 2026, before that site's hosting lapsed. They are reproduced as the program published them and have not been verified against CIF, league, or Major League Baseball records.
Where the source contradicted itself, we say so rather than quietly choosing:
- The honors records spell him "A.J. Balta". The all-time roster, compiled separately from who actually played, has "AJ Balta", and that is the spelling used here.
- The honors records spell him "J.D. Busfield". The all-time roster, compiled separately from who actually played, has "JD Busfield", and that is the spelling used here.
- The honors records spell him "Robbie Mouselli". The all-time roster, compiled separately from who actually played, has "Robbie Mousselli", and that is the spelling used here.
- The honors records spell him "Chris Giminez". The all-time roster, compiled separately from who actually played, has "Chris Gimenez", and that is the spelling used here.
- The roster also records a second Mousselli, Michael, who played in 2008 and 2009, which is why the spelling of Robbie's name matters.
- Ricky Acevas looked like a possible transcription error. The all-time roster independently lists him for 1999 and 2000, so it stands as published.
- Dylan Thomas is listed as drafted by the Minnesota Twins in both 2018 and 2019. A re-draft is plausible; it has not been confirmed.
- 1997, 1998, and 1999 list no second team. Whether none were named or the data was never entered is not recorded.
If you played for Valencia and your honor is missing or wrong, we would rather hear it than leave it. Email the Stadium Club and we will fix the record.
