This site is run by parent volunteers for a high school baseball program. Most of its pages are about other people's children, so what it records is worth being specific about rather than reassuring about.
How we measure the site
We count how the site is used, so the board knows whether it is worth the effort: which pages get read, how people arrive, what they click, and how far down a page they get. That measurement is ours. It runs on our own servers and nothing about your visit is sent to any outside company or advertiser.
Here is what that does not involve, because it is unusual and deliberate:
- No cookies. Nothing is stored on your device that survives closing the tab.
- No IP address. Your address is never written down. We know roughly what city a visit came from, and nothing narrower.
- No profile, and no way to build one. A visit is identified only for as long as the tab is open. Close it and you are a stranger again, which means we genuinely cannot tell a returning visitor from a new one.
- No recording of your screen. Nothing captures what a page looked like or what you typed.
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, and nothing shared with or sold to anybody.
If you would rather not be counted at all, turn on Do Not Track in your browser. We honor it, and the site simply records nothing.
What happens automatically
The site is served from Amazon CloudFront, which keeps standard web server logs, including IP addresses, for delivery and security. Those are kept for about thirteen months and are not used to build a profile of anyone.
If you use the donation form
The donate page asks who your donation is for, an optional note, and your email so we can credit it correctly. We keep that so the board can match your donation and thank you properly. Payment itself is handled by Givebutter on that same page, so their form is the only outside script this site loads, and it loads on the donate page only. We never see or store a card number.
Other companies involved
Two, and only these: Google Fonts, because your browser fetches our typefaces from them on every page, and Givebutter, on the donate page, for payment. There is no third party anywhere on this site whose purpose is to watch you.
If you email us
We keep the message so we can answer it and hand it to the next board. We do not sell, rent, or share contact information, ever, and we do not add anyone to a list for writing to us.
