Route: Navigate to 115 Overton Court, Thousand Oaks. Do NOT use the university's general address, 60 W Olsen Rd: it resolves to William Rolland Stadium, the football venue at 160 Overton Court. Both stadiums sit on Overton Court, which is why this is easy to get wrong. On the ground: US-101 north, exit Lynn Road, right on Lynn and north until Lynn becomes Olsen, then left into campus at North Campus Drive, with the field on your right as you enter. Look for the tall vertical ULLMAN STADIUM sign; if you are looking at a clock tower, you are at the wrong stadium.

Parking

Free, in the lots on the right off North Campus Drive, one to two minutes' walk to the field. The shortest walk of any venue we have documented. A posted sign warns that foul balls hit cars in this lot, which tells you how close it is: park at the far end if you care about your paint.

Seating & Chairs

A covered grandstand with real seats. Yellow chairbacks low in the bowl and out along the line (refurbished authentic stadium seats), with silver bench rows behind and above them. The benches have backs, which is rare at a road venue. Listed capacity 611, with 308 seats.

What to bring: None needed. This is the only venue on this list where you can leave the stadium chair and the folding chair at home.

Shade & Sun

Real, permanent shade: a roof covers the bowl behind home plate and down the first-base side. Observed on a September morning, the first-base side was completely shaded from 9am, while the third-base side filled in from the back forward as the sun moved (metal benches first, back row of yellow seats shaded by 11:22). Note those readings are all from the morning; nobody has yet watched this field in the afternoon, so for a 1:30 start expect shade to exist but not necessarily where the morning pattern puts it.

Visibility

No obstruction from either base side. You can see the whole field from wherever you sit and the netting does not spoil the view, so pick your seat on shade and preference rather than sightline.

Restrooms

Two permanent restrooms, both attached to the press box behind home plate and under the grandstand roof: 201 Women and 202 Unisex, both accessible. No portables. Two single rooms is thin for a busy game, and men have only the unisex, so expect a line between innings. Signage sends overflow to the Gilbert Center across campus, which is a walk.

Concessions

Nothing confirmed at the field. There is a Starbucks on campus at Ullman Commons, but it is a 10 to 15 minute walk each way along The Spine, the walkway through the centre of campus, so 20 to 30 minutes round trip. That is not a between-innings errand, it is most of a ballgame. Bring what you need, and bring your own water.

The Field

Natural grass with a dirt infield and warning track. No lights, so day games only.
