On game day at Valencia, the Vikings trailed 2-0 late and walked it off in the seventh, beating Birmingham 3-2 when Casey Nickson lined a single to center to bring home the winning run.
Birmingham scratched single runs in the first and third, the second coming on a two-out RBI single, to lead 2-0. Valencia answered in the fourth, when Evan Conrad walked and came around on Luke Ammerman's RBI single to make it 2-1.
It stayed there until the bottom of the seventh, when the Vikings put together the rally. Jaedyn Morales led off with a double and moved to third, then scored the tying run on Gavin Tergo's sacrifice fly. After Alex Bramson reached on an error, Nickson delivered the walk-off single with two outs to send everyone home happy.
The comeback was set up by the staff. Jordan Ramos started, Tee Intharachalit bridged three innings, and Morales slammed the door with two scoreless to earn the win, capping a two-way night that also included his leadoff double in the rally. Birmingham put eight hits and six walks on the board but managed only two runs against Valencia's pitching and errorless defense.
