The freshmen ended their season with an exclamation point. A twelve-run second inning, seventeen batters long, turned the afternoon game of the Golden Valley doubleheader into a 14-0, five-inning shutout that finished a sweep in which the Grizzlies never scored: 25-0 across the day.

The second inning had a little of everything. Caden Shin singled and scored from first on Brian Shaw's bunt that was thrown away, five consecutive singles followed, Marcus Paikos lined a two-run double, Nate Marroquin walked with the bases loaded, Kai Larracas and Shin added run-scoring singles, and after two hit batters and another error, Elijah Patlian capped it with a pop fly deep enough for Cooper Rzewuski to tag and score. Patlian drove in three runs three different ways; every batter in the ten-man order reached base.

Elijah Garcia and Matthew Webb made it stand with a combined three-hitter and no walks. Garcia faced one batter over the minimum through three innings, and the defense erased Golden Valley's few baserunners emphatically: a runner thrown out stretching in the first and inning-ending double plays in the second and fifth, with Kasen Caranto, Patlian, and Jackson Lord turning both.

The win closed the season at 17-5 with four straight victories, the last two by shutout.
