Valencia's bats stayed cold in a 5-1 non-league loss at Camarillo, managing four hits and pushing across a single run.

Charlie Romanelli kept it close into the fifth, allowing one earned run over 4.1 innings with three strikeouts, but Camarillo's Lincoln Hamm was a one-man wrecking crew, 3-for-3 with three doubles, a run driven in, and two runs scored.

Down 2-0, Valencia got on the board in the sixth when Kade Breech walked and scored on Zach Davis's RBI single. But Camarillo answered with three in the bottom of the sixth, Hamm's RBI double, an Isaac Elizondo single, and a Tyler Hiji double, to pull away.

Brady Ruffner doubled for Valencia's only extra-base hit, and the Vikings drew five walks but stranded too many against Camarillo's Luc Ross, who allowed one hit over four innings.
