Valencia completed a season sweep of Golden Valley with another rout, pounding out 17 hits in a 14-1 Foothill League win two days after a 16-0 victory.
The Vikings jumped on the Grizzlies immediately, three straight doubles by Zach Davis, Evan Conrad, and Brady Ruffner produced a three-run first, and Justin Gaisford's two-run homer capped a three-run second for a 6-0 lead.
Steven Genovese kept Golden Valley quiet for five innings, allowing six hits but no runs, and Jordan Ramos finished up; the only Grizzlies run was Andrew Markovich's sixth-inning solo homer. Valencia answered that with a five-run sixth that batted around.
Davis led the way at 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI, Ruffner doubled twice, and Gaisford homered. Ten Vikings reached and the lineup was hit by five pitches.
