The afternoon game of the Canyon doubleheader belonged to the bottom of the order. Caden Shin, batting ninth, reached base in all five trips, walked twice in Valencia's five-run third, ripped a three-run double in the six-run fourth, and was hit and stole third before scoring the final run in the sixth: four RBI and three runs in a 12-3 win that completed the sweep, 28-4 across the day.

Canyon made it hard on itself. The Cowboys' pitchers hit six Valencia batters and walked five, and the third and fourth innings compounded: Elijah Avlas's bunt single and an error opened the scoring, Nate Marroquin lifted a sacrifice fly in his one plate appearance, and Jackson Lord, re-entering after that substitution, doubled home Marcus Paikos to start the six-run fourth that Cooper Rzewuski and Shin blew open.

Gavin Dunbar earned the win with five innings on 55 pitches; the only blemishes were a run built on Valencia's two errors in the third and a two-run double in the fifth. Matthew Webb closed with two scoreless innings, starting a 1-6-3 double play to erase the last Canyon runner in scoring position.

Avlas and Elijah Patlian added three hits apiece, and the flipped middle infield (Patlian at second, Kasen Caranto at short) turned eight assists behind the two pitchers. Lord finished with ten putouts at first.
