A week after the West Ranch sweep, the freshmen answered with their most lopsided road win of the season, a 16-1 rout at Canyon in which Elijah Garcia and Jackson Lord combined on a one-hitter.

Garcia survived a bases-loaded first, escaping on the 6-4-3 double play that cost him the game's only run, then gave Canyon nothing: one infield single over five innings with five strikeouts. Lord was perfect in relief, six up and six down with three strikeouts on twenty pitches.

The offense chipped away from the second inning on, scoring in every frame it batted from there. Two dropped third strikes and Caden Shin's two-run bunt fielder's choice keyed a four-run second, Shin's double cashed two more in the third, and the lead grew an inning at a time until a twelve-batter seventh blew it open: Kasen Caranto's triple, Nate Marroquin's third hit, Kai Larracas's two-run double, and RBI singles by Brian Shaw and Elijah Patlian made it sixteen.

Shin reached base in all five trips and drove in four. Jace Lindstrom scored four times and handled ten chances behind the plate, including a pickoff at first that helped strip Canyon's last real threat in the fifth.
