The strangest line of the JV season: Valencia out-hit Canyon 10-2, struck out eleven Cowboys, and allowed not a single RBI, yet the teams finished tied 4-4 when the game ended after seven innings.

Valencia built its lead conventionally, a third inning where Brody Mueller and Hayden Jaquez singled, two hit batters forced in a run, and Jaedyn Morales singled in another, then a fourth where Bodie Johnson singled, stole second, and scored on Mueller's fielder's choice ahead of Braden Cianci's RBI single.

Canyon's answer needed no run-producing hit. Two singles and a botched rundown, scored through a shortstop error, cashed one, and after the bases filled on walks, three runs crossed on wild pitches during back-to-back at-bats, tying it at four.

Cianci struck out six over 3.2 innings and went 2-for-2 at the plate; Miles Shelofsky finished with 3.1 hitless innings and five strikeouts; Gavin Tergo caught all eleven strikeouts; and Bodie Johnson had three hits, two steals, and started the second-inning 4-6-3 double play. Valencia drew no walks but was hit by four pitches.
