Valencia's JV threw out three West Ranch runners at the plate and erased a 4-0 deficit with a five-run fourth, but the Wildcats answered with two in the fifth and held on 6-5, taking the second game of the home-and-home after Valencia's shutout two days earlier.

West Ranch bunched three first-inning singles for two runs and added two more in the third, though Jaedyn Morales's throw home on a tag-up turned a double play to end that inning. The fourth flipped the game: Luke Ammerman and Braden Cianci singled, Hayden Jaquez bunted them over, walks and a wild pitch forced in a run, Aiden Illingworth cleared the bases with a three-run double, and Casey Nickson's single made it 5-4.

The lead lasted five batters. A sacrifice fly tied it in the fifth and a wild-pitch run put West Ranch back ahead, and the Wildcats' #4 finished what he started, a 113-pitch complete game that retired Valencia in order in the seventh.

The defense kept it close all day: besides Morales's tag-up throw, Caden Cabunoc cut a run down at the plate on a fielder's choice in the fourth, Aiden Illingworth threw out a tag-up in the seventh, and Tyler Lord caught a runner stealing and applied all three tags at home. Charles Goodman's seventh was perfect with a strikeout.
