Three games in three days ended with the freshmen's most complete performance yet: an 11-1, five-inning win over West Ranch in which Marcus Paikos went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI and Nate Marroquin won his own three-hit complete game.

Marroquin never walked a batter, struck out five, and allowed only an unearned fifth-inning run; through four innings no Wildcat passed second base. At the plate he doubled, singled, and drove in two.

The third inning buried the game: five consecutive singles to open, two of them bunts, then Marroquin's double, a run-scoring groundout, and Caden Shin's RBI single, six runs in all. Paikos's fourth hit, a double to center with one out in the fifth, brought home the eleventh run and ended it on the run rule.

Jackson Lord added a double and two RBI with five putouts at first, and Elijah Avlas scored three times. Over the three-day stretch the freshmen outscored their opponents 27-10.
