Two days after the extra-inning walk-off, Valencia's JV finished the Castaic home-and-home with an 8-2 road win, holding a 2-1 lead into the sixth and then batting around for six runs.

Bodie Johnson's two-run double in the second answered Castaic's first-inning sacrifice fly, and the game stayed there until the sixth: Casey Nickson's two-run double, Luke Ammerman's RBI single, Braden Cianci's two-run single, and a passed-ball run blew it open, five of the six runs coming with two outs.

Miles Shelofsky took a line drive off him in the first, the scorekeeper pausing to check on him, and stayed in to strike out six over five innings of two-hit, one-run ball. Tee Intharachalit finished, with Nickson gunning down a runner at the plate from left to end Castaic's sixth.

Valencia played errorless defense and Nickson finished with two doubles; the Vikings stranded a bases-loaded chance in the fourth and had a runner cut down stealing home in the fifth but never trailed after the second.
