Valencia's JV out-hit Saugus 15-10 and carried a 6-5 lead into the bottom of the fifth, but eleven walks finally caught up in a 13-10 league loss at Saugus, a three-run seventh closing the gap but no further.

The Vikings built the early lead the usual way: Hayden Jaquez's double and sacrifice flies by Caden Cabunoc and Aiden Illingworth, Bodie Johnson's RBI single, and Gavin Tergo's RBI double in a three-run third that made it 5-1. Saugus answered almost entirely without swinging, two bases-loaded walks in the third, then tied it on a two-run double in the fourth.

The bottom of the fifth decided it: four walks and a hit batter wrapped around RBI singles by Justin Sayer and Isaac Sepulveda produced five runs on just two hits. Saugus added three more in the sixth, including Daniel Dacosta's straight steal of home.

Gavin Tergo went 3-for-3 with a double and threw out a runner at the plate before giving way; Luke Ammerman had his third straight three-hit game, capped by a two-run double in the seventh; Cabunoc was 2-for-2 at the plate around a four-strikeout start; and Aiden Illingworth never recorded an official at-bat (two sacrifice flies, a hit by pitch, and a walk) yet scored twice and drove in two.
