Elijah Garcia and Matthew Webb held Paraclete without a hit for seven innings, and the Valencia freshmen ran their way to a 7-3 home win, the second victory in as many games.
The no-hitter came with a twist: Paraclete scored three times anyway. An error, walks, and hit batters filled the bases in the third and fourth, and two fielder's choices and a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch briefly put the Spirits ahead 3-2, all without a ball leaving the infield for a hit.
Valencia's speed took the game back. Kasen Caranto scored three times, stealing three bases and coming around on a wild pitch, a groundout, and Elijah Avlas's bunt single. Elijah Patlian reached four times, doubled in a run, and finished the fifth-inning rally by stealing home for a 6-3 lead. Jackson Lord reached four times and scored on Nate Marroquin's double in the sixth.
Garcia worked four hitless innings and picked a runner off second; Webb closed with three hitless frames and all three Valencia strikeouts, stranding the bases loaded in the sixth. Avlas anchored the defense with nine putouts at first.
