Valencia's JV survived a wild one, erupting for nine runs in the first inning and holding off a six-run Camarillo sixth for an 11-10 home win in a six-inning, time-capped game.

The Vikings batted around in the bottom of the first: Tyler Lord's two-run single, Braden Cianci's two-run single, and Casey Nickson's three-run double headlined the rally. Valencia drew eight walks and was hit three times on the day, a steady supply of base runners.

Jaedyn Morales earned the win with three innings, and Tee Intharachalit struck out three over two scoreless frames to keep Camarillo at arm's length.

But the Scorpions roughed up the back of the bullpen for six in the sixth, five hits and a Valencia error pulling them within 11-10, before Caden Cabunoc came on and ended it with a lineout double play.
