The Valencia freshmen piled up fifteen hits and eighteen runs in a six-inning 18-2 home win over Buena, scoring in each of their first four turns at bat.
The top of the order did the heavy lifting. Kasen Caranto went 3-for-4 with a double, four runs, and two steals, and Elijah Patlian matched the 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Jace Lindstrom added three singles and two RBI while catching all six innings, and Elijah Avlas drove in two without a hit, on a sacrifice fly and a tag-up line out to center.
The fourth inning broke it open: fourteen batters and eight runs on RBI singles by Patlian (two), Lindstrom, and Gavin Dunbar, a bases-loaded walk to Kai Larracas, Caden Shin's run-scoring hit-by-pitch, a wild pitch, and one of Buena's eight errors.
Nate Marroquin and Matthew Webb combined on a three-hitter with no earned runs, Marroquin working four innings in the start and Webb striking out two over a clean final two. Jackson Lord handled seven putouts at first, and Patlian turned seven chances at shortstop without a misplay.
