Valencia's first Sunday morning of fall ball came down to the last unanswered swing, and for the second time in three games, the other dugout celebrated first.

Miles Shelofsky, making his first appearance in a Valencia uniform, opened with two innings of one-hit ball, and Brett Cormany carried a scoreless duel into the fifth. Valencia broke through first: Evan Conrad walked, moved up on Francisco Velazquez Jr.'s single, and scored on Charlie Romanelli's sacrifice fly. Temecula Valley answered in the bottom half, and the teams traded again in the sixth, JT Gurne walking, stealing second, and scoring on Justin Gaisford's double before an error and an RBI single tied it at two.

The seventh belonged to the Golden Bears: a leadoff single, a misplayed bunt, and a ground ball through the left side ended it with nobody out. Caden Cabunoc, another first-timer, wore the loss without allowing an earned run.

Romanelli's 2-for-2 and Zach Davis's 2-for-3 led an eight-hit day that outproduced the hosts everywhere but the scoreboard; the travel weekend closes later the same day at Great Oak.
